For the people sending out yet another anonymous letter, if you truly believe what you are writing and could stand behind it with FACTS why aren't you signing your name?
The meeting is on January 14th, not the 15th as you stated in the letter, was that just an "oversight" or are you just continuing to show us you can not get your facts straight?
Since you brought up the water, no one said anything about breaking apart the pipes and getting all new meters (in an ideal world that would be great, but far from practical) If you want to focus concern on water costs, maybe find out from the Board you support why we haven't paid the water bill in almost 6 months.
Whats the hang up with Comet? Who said we were changing Management companies? FACT: There was one meeting with a group of homeowners (great turnout) to discuss options for change and Comet happen to be there to offer advice. No obligation. If you were at the meeting, you would have known that.
In your letter (and I quote) "The increase in maintenance fees the new company wants can be given to Metro for them to do more." Do more what? The maintenance now is mediocre at best, I don't want more of THAT. We gave them more with the special assessment what did they do with that money? They added in extra for water over a year ago, yet we haven't paid the water bill. So don't kid yourself thinking the fees have not increased with Metro.
"Why elect a board when we are committed financially to the management association we have now?" Why should we commit to them when they can't be financially committed (and responsible) to us?
Another great line -"Can you afford as a homeowner or renter (the cost would be passed on to you) to go with a new board and management company"? I say to that - can we afford NOT to go with a new board!
For those homeowners that are truly concerned, I hope you will come out on Wednesday Jan 14th and vote for change. The mismanagement has gone on long enough. And despite what the letter says, you don't have to vote for the "hand-picked" list.
You can vote for whoever you want. That is your right.
