Please give your honest opinion about the performance of the Maintenance company, in it's performance and quality of repairs to the complex.

Personally, it seems to me that the maintenance is typically poor quality. All too often, I've seen work by what I can only refer to as unskilled and done in the cheapest manner possible. And even though I could say it was just the management trying to save the associations money, I know it's because of cheap methods being allowed and not looking out for the community as a whole.

It may not be the maintenance's fault, but I feel like when we call with an issue, it's always put on the back burner. We have a leak in our condo, which is coming from our roof that is in poor shape. They said they'd come look at the roof to find the leak there first, then call back to fix the ceiling. I have no idea if they have come to check the roof yet. If they are doing work outside, they should leave a note on the door saying that they came and took care of the issue or a plan of action. I don't like that I have no idea if it was taken care of.
I believe that the maintenance workers also take care of the other properties, so they have a lot of different places to be. There should be a few workers per property, not just a couple for all of Paul Hayes' properties.

I have had a similar experience to mstofpup88 regarding a roof leak about 2 years ago. I called, nothing was done....called several times more over the next two months and then was told that the work had been done on a date that was before I called the first time. I pointed out that I hadn't even initiated a service call until after the date they said it was fixed and was told I was wrong. There was no letter or document that mentioned someone had come out to fix the roof. Of course, the roof leaked again (it's only during specific conditions). I also asked for someone to fix the water marks (from the leak) on my stairwell. The guy who did it was not the head of maintenance (Tim) but some underling. He asked me if I had a ladder tall enough for him to get up there (which I did not) and then he disappeared for hours. He came back, painted over the water marks but scuffed the walls below the water marks with his boots. Since that time, the water marks have re-appeared and I still have the dirty boot marks from the worker on my wall. Obviously the problem does not seem to be fixed, but according to them, it was.

Having the same issue @ 143 Brandywine. However, I did receive a call from the outside contractor and will be making an appointment shortly. I will keep you posted. I find that I always have quick service when you deal directly with Marie. She has always been very helpful to me.

I had flooding in front of my unit. On a couple of occasions the single drain in front of my building clogged with leaves, water couldn't drain and as a consequence, water entered my unit. To make a long story short, I asked repeated times to have a new drain installed but that wasn't done until I told maintenance office I will confer with my attorney. I still have a problem with the 3 drains clogging so the potential for my unit and my next door's neighbor's unit flooding has not been completely eliminated. Every time it rains I get extremely nervous because I need to ensure the drains don't clog so the watr can be drained. UGH!!! Office does NOT care!!!

I'm actually glad to see that I'm not the only one having this exact same problem - leaking roof causing interior damage. It first appeared about two years ago. When I called then, I can only assume that they simply put a new shingle or two up. The same leak came back about two months ago. I called and, again, I can only assume that the leak was patched above since I never received any kind of verification that any work was done. However, due to the location and severity of the leak, I am concerned about damage caused inside the wall. I'm going on my third week of waiting for someone to contact me back to come and take a look inside my unit. Again, due to where the leak was and how bad it was leaking, I can only guess what it looks like on the other side of the drywall.
