Thank you for providing this. I have been a home owner for almost 9 years and am tired of the lack of communication from our so-called association. These "financials" also seem like they cannot be trusted as they are simply a typed out form which can be altered any way the Board sees fit. $11,700 for Geese police? you're joking, right? There are plenty of people with dogs in our community that can do a fine job keeping the geese away from the lakes more often then that 1 or 2 times a day the truck comes through.
It's high time we band together and find a way to get more answers from whomever is governing the revenue realized from our dues.

Thank you for the statement. Been here for 3 years and never received one of these. good to know where the money is going. Now if we can get to the bottom of why the water bill is soooo high. Had a house with family of four, i paid less than this and it's just me. HMMM

Homeowner for 11 years and anything I have ever asked to have repaired has been denied. I shovel my own snow, buy my own ice salt and would also like to know the truth about the additional water fees and what our recent $240.00 is going towards since my particular condo is falling apart. This forum was a great idea since I chose condo living so I wouldn't have to maintain any outdoor areas or repairs and I'm doing it anyway.

I agree. Owned for over 12 years. Never received a financial statement. Been dissatisfied with shoddy work. Lack of snow removal. No upgrades to common grounds. I could go on forever. Never realized how mismanaged the funds were until the years passed by and the development got more and more deteriorated.

I agree also. Finally getting some form of communication, but still the community is looking very neglected which makes me believe that funds are being grossly mismanaged. There should be money in the Reserves to cover the roofs. The repair work that is done is shoddy, there is mildew on the building etc. Metro Associates should be doing inspections and taking care of these issues on a regular basis and the trustees should be taking a closer look at what is going on. I agree with IsaHiddenGem that we need to start banding together and get some answers from our trustees.

Is there a way we can get comparative financial statements? How about a posting of statements from the past 5 years?
It's difficult to examine expenditures without seeing historical numbers. There needs to be some baseline by which to examine performance and hold those in charge accountable.

First off Geese Police is a rip-off. The geese come right back after a few hours. Great business. I think I'll to that when I retire. And as far a trash removal, if the city is now taking our trash, isn't that included in our property taxes? So Metro should not have that listed as an expense. I have only seen the street sweeper twice.
